Yes. We offer prefabricated, semi-custom, and fully custom cabinetry options. We help homeowners compare the cost, quality, available finishes, lead times, and design flexibility of each option before making a decision.

Do you provide cabinetry design services?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We partner with Allison Taylor, lead designer at CW Interiors TX, for space planning, cabinet layouts, material selections, and detailed renderings on larger projects. We have other designers that can be more budget friendly on smaller projects depending on customer preference. Design services are especially helpful for kitchens, offices, built-ins, and projects requiring a precise custom layout.

Question 4

Can you match the existing cabinets in my home?

Accepted Answer

In many cases, yes. We have relationships with Houston-area cabinet manufacturers that have supplied cabinetry for many newer homes and large builders throughout the area. When the original manufacturer can be identified, we may be able to coordinate directly with them to match the existing door style, finish, construction, and other details.

Can you modify or add to existing cabinetry?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can add cabinets, extend cabinetry to the ceiling, modify layouts, create matching panels, add storage features, replace damaged components, and build new sections designed to blend with the existing cabinetry. Exact matching depends on the age, condition, manufacturer, and continued availability of the original materials and finish.

Question 6

Do you install cabinets purchased from another supplier?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can install homeowner-purchased prefabricated or ready-to-assemble cabinets after reviewing the plans, cabinet list, dimensions, and product specifications. The homeowner is responsible for shortages, damage, incorrect components, and manufacturer-related delays unless we are hired to manage purchasing.

Question 7

Can you handle the entire cabinetry project?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Depending on the approved scope, we can coordinate design, measurements, ordering, delivery, demolition, installation, trim, hardware, painting or finishing, countertops, backsplash, plumbing, electrical adjustments, and final touch-ups.

Question 8

Are countertops included with new cabinetry?

Accepted Answer

Countertops are included only when specifically listed in the quote. We can coordinate quartz, natural stone, porcelain, and other countertop materials as a separate line item after the cabinet layout and material selections are finalized.

Question 9

How long does a cabinetry project take?

Accepted Answer

Timelines depend on the type of cabinetry, design complexity, material availability, and other work included in the project. Prefabricated cabinets generally have shorter lead times, while custom cabinetry requires additional time for design, fabrication, finishing, and installation. A project-specific schedule will be provided once selections and ordering are complete. An important note is when getting custom cabinetry built it will need to be painted after install in most cases which adds additional time.

Do I need to empty my cabinets before installation?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All cabinets and work areas must be emptied before the scheduled start date. Furniture, artwork, valuables, and personal belongings should also be removed from nearby areas as directed before work begins.

Can you add custom storage features?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Available options may include pull-out shelves, trash and recycling centers, spice storage, tray dividers, deep drawers, appliance garages, pantry systems, hidden storage, file drawers, open shelving, lighting, and other features tailored to how you use the space.

Do you warranty your cabinetry work?

Accepted Answer

Our installation and workmanship are backed by a one-year written workmanship warranty. Cabinets, hardware, finishes, and accessories are also subject to any applicable manufacturer warranty. Warranty coverage does not include normal wear, misuse, building movement, water damage, homeowner-supplied materials, or alterations made by others.

What type of paint do you use on cabinets?

Accepted Answer

We use professional 1K and 2K cabinet coatings selected for durability, adhesion, chemical resistance, and a smooth factory-style finish. The appropriate coating is chosen based on the cabinet material, existing finish, project requirements, and desired level of performance.

We do not use standard trim paint on cabinets. Although trim paint may look acceptable initially, it does not provide the hardness, moisture resistance, or long-term durability expected from a professionally finished cabinet surface. Proper cleaning, sanding, preparation, priming, and application of a dedicated cabinet coating are essential to achieving a finish designed to withstand regular household use.

What drawer joint options are available?

We offer different drawer-box construction methods based on the homeowner’s preferences, budget, and desired level of craftsmanship. Options may range from durable standard joinery to premium dovetail construction. Dovetail joints provide additional strength, long-term durability, and a furniture-quality appearance, while other reinforced joint methods can provide reliable performance at a more cost-effective price. Available options will be reviewed during the design and quoting process.

Why aren’t the interiors of the cabinet boxes painted?

Accepted Answer

Our custom cabinet boxes are constructed with UV-prefinished, cabinet-grade plywood. This creates a durable, smooth, easy-to-clean interior surface without requiring paint. Painted or enamel-coated interiors can scratch and wear over time from dishes, cookware, cleaning supplies, and other items being moved across the shelves.

The UV-cured factory finish is designed to provide better long-term durability inside cabinets and drawers. Painted finishes are generally reserved for doors, drawer fronts, face frames, finished end panels, and other visible exterior surfaces unless a different interior finish is specifically requested and included in the quote.
