Timelines depend on the size and complexity of the project, material lead times, inspections, design changes, and concealed conditions. We provide a project-specific schedule after the scope and selections are finalized. Bathrooms and kitchens often have the most easter eggs behind the walls when renovating so it is best to expect some short delays while troubleshooting. Homeowners changing designs or material selections mid job cause the most frequent delays so it is imperative to work with the designer to be certain about selections.

Our shower assemblies use professional waterproofing systems selected for the specific design and substrate. Waterproofing is completed before tile installation and includes careful treatment of seams, corners, penetrations, niches, benches, curbs, and drains. We have used all of the major shower waterproofing systems and will recommend our preferred method based on the situation and budget.

Yes. Curbless showers can create a more open appearance and improve accessibility. Feasibility depends on the existing framing, foundation, drain location, required slope, bathroom layout, and local code requirements.

Yes, in most cases that is acceptable, however, homeowner-supplied materials must be approved, complete, compatible, undamaged, and available by the required deadline. Shortages, incorrect components, defects, and delays may affect the price and schedule. plumbing fixtures are the most common issue with the multitude of options and parts necessary, homeowners often purchase incompatible parts or missing parts. When that happens for fixtures that have to be ordered your job can be delayed for weeks while we wait for the correct parts to show up. This is a costly mistake for everyone involved so we avoid homeowners purchasing fixtures when at all possible.

What happens if hidden damage is discovered?

Concealed conditions such as water damage, rot, mold, inadequate framing, outdated plumbing, electrical problems, or improperly completed previous work are not included unless stated in the scope. Required corrections are documented and handled through a written change order.

Permits, inspections, engineering, and HOA approvals are included only when specifically listed in the approved quote. Requirements vary depending on the location and extent of the work.

How are changes handled after work begins?

Work outside the approved scope requires a written change order. The change order documents the additional or revised work, price adjustment, and any effect on the project schedule before the work proceeds.
